PANERA BREAD DONATES TO NEW ENGLAND CHALLENGE CUP

Panera Bread Partners with Hayden Synchronized Skating Teams
to Help Bring Awareness to the Fastest Growing Figure Skating Discipline

 

LEXINGTON, MA - January 17, 2012 - The Hayden Synchronized Skating Teams are hosting the 3rd Annual New England Challenge Cup at Woburn’s O’Brien Ice Rink on Saturday, January 21, 2012.  Panera will donate a percentage of sales generated by the families, friends, and supporters of the New England Challenge Cup Synchronized Skating Competition that visit the Burlington Panera the day of the event.

The Hayden Recreation Centre FSC and the Hayden Synchronized Skating Teams host the competition at the O’Brien Ice Rink, located Woburn. On Jan, 21, the New England Challenge Cup welcomes 40 teams and over 540 athletes as they compete in 13 different competitive levels of synchronized skating.   While this is the 3rd year for the event, this will be the first year hosting the event at the O’Brien Arena.

Panera Bread patrons presenting an event coupon when placing their food order will automatically have 10% of their purchase price donated to the event.  A percentage of the total proceeds will be donated to the Lynn Benson Developmental Scholarship Fund.  The Lynn Benson Developmental Scholarship Fund recognizes synchronized skaters who demonstrate the personal traits, values and passion for synchronized skating that are representative of Lynn Benson, Haydenettes Head Coach from 1979-2006 and honorary Chairperson of the New England Challenge Cup Competition.
